Tools needed: tape measure, electric miter saw or hacksaw, drill and a level. Kit designed for a 30 to 35 degree angle.

Before you begin installation, check with your local building inspector for required rail height in your area. To get started, unpack contents of box and locate top and bottom rail, balusters, brackets, and packing list.

1. Rest bottom rail on stair treads and mark angle on each end of bottom rail. Make sure you have the same distance to the first hole on each end to assure a uniform appearance.

3. Place bottom rail into opening and secure with screws.

4. Insert a baluster into the first and last routed hole in bottom rail.

5. Connect top rail to balusters making sure you use same holes as bottom rail. Level balusters and mark angle on each end of top rail.

6. Trim off each end of previously marked angle. Place one mounting bracket on each end of top and bottom rail.

7. Insert balusters into routed holes.

8. Holding top rail at an angle, connect top rail to balusters one baluster at a time.
